About Pandit Somnath
Pandit Somnath is born on 10th December 1968 in a Bengali Brahmin family, in Chitrakoot, in the central part of India, where Lord Ram spent around 12 ½ years, not far from Varanasi, which is famous for continuing the Vedic sciences, specially Vedic Jyotish.
He is belonging to the traditional family, which is continuing the Vedic knowledge, experience, and divine energy from the ancient rishis and Gurus.
He started his basic education in the Ashram of Chitrakoot and completed his higher education from the agricultural institute Allahabad University in 1995, known as Oxford of the east.
He started to serve Vedic Jyotish as a translator from Hindi to English with the Jyotish team of Maharishi Organization in Holland in the summer of the year 1998, then traveled with the teams to other countries like Germany, Italy, and came to Russia. During this period, he spent a good time with a higher level of Jyotishis and got an opportunity to learn practical Jyotish. During working as a translator for Jyotish, he came to know the importance of Jyotish in life and decided to learn it. Some basic information and tips he got during his visits with the Jyotish team. Finally, he came to Rishikesh in the year 2000 to learn it from his GurujiPandit S. N. Pandey, who belongs to Maharishi Parasharparampara (tradition). His Guruji blessed him with his knowledge and experience and set his goal of life to serve society by this divine science.
